October is just around the corner, and as the leaves begin to turn and a crispness enters the air, it’s the perfect time to embrace the outdoors and connect with nature. This October, Samaritans Ireland is inviting you to do just that, and much more, by joining our brand new campaign: Walkies October!
Mental well-being is more important than ever, and a simple walk can do wonders for our physical and emotional health. Whether you're strolling through a local park, exploring a scenic trail, or simply taking your furry friend for an extra loop around the block, every step counts.
What is Walkies October?
Walkies October is a fun, flexible, and fantastic way to get active, enjoy the beautiful Irish landscape, and raise vital funds for Samaritans Ireland. We're encouraging everyone to get out and walk throughout the month of October. You can set your own goals, walk at your own pace, and choose your own adventure!
Why Walk for Samaritans Ireland?
Samaritans Ireland provides a safe place for anyone struggling to cope, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our volunteers are always there to listen without judgment, offering support to those facing difficult times. Every single day, Samaritans answers around 10,000 calls for help. The funds raised through Walkies October will directly support our services, ensuring we can continue to be there for people when they need us most.
How to Get Involved:
Participating in Walkies October is easy!
