This October, grab the lead and walk 100km with your dog while raising vital funds for Samaritans and helping us work towards a future where fewer lives are lost to suicide.
Whether it’s a quick morning stroll, a lunchtime wander or a big weekend adventure, every walk counts. You’ll be getting active, spending quality time together and supporting your own wellbeing along the way.
October is Mental Health Month, so it’s the perfect time to get moving, start conversations and do something positive for yourself and others.

Get walking!
Walk 100km throughout October – that’s 3-4km per day (or 4,000-6,000 steps). You can walk every day, most days, or go on long weekend hikes – whatever works for you and your dog. It's a good idea to provide updates on your progress.

You’ll receive your fundraising pack in the post after you register with all the info you need to get started with your fundraiser. Also, after your fundraising page receives its first donation we will be notified to send an exclusive Walkies for Wellbeing T-Shirt to your home address.

Over 2,000 Samaritans volunteer in 25 locations around Ireland & Northern Ireland answer calls to our helpline 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Samaritans is the only charity in both Ireland & Northern Ireland offering emotional support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to anyone who is in distress, lonely, struggling to cope or feeling suicidal.

It’ll land through your letterbox after you register – just a little something to kickstart your challenge!
