An honest story

This October I will be walking 100km with my two huskies to raise money for Samaritans, an organisation that has been there for me when I felt like I had no one else to turn to.

Sometimes all it takes is a simple conversation to help us step out of our own head. I have seen too many young people go too early in life, and I know what it is like to struggle with feelings of isolation, disassociation and thoughts of suicide.

Over the years I have built a personal toolbox of ideas and practices that help me through difficult times. But when it feels like no one is around and the toolbox is not enough, Samaritans have always been there. They listen without judgment, and they remind me I am not alone.

This walk is my way of giving back, of walking with intention and hope, and of raising funds so that Samaritans can continue to support people who need them.
