Walking Together So You Don’t Have to Walk Alone 🐾❤️

Tuesday 22nd Sep

This October, I will be walking 100km throughout the month to raise money for Samaritans accompanied by my dog Cooper.

We’ll be taking on the challenge together with my friend Abbie and her dog Riley, meaning there will be four of us putting one foot — and plenty of paws — in front of the other!

Our message throughout the challenge is simple:

“Walking together, so you don’t have to walk alone.”

We’re taking on 100km this October because we believe nobody should have to face difficult times alone.

Walking is something simple that can bring people together, give you time to talk, clear your head and remind you that there is always someone beside you. That’s why the message behind our challenge is “Walking together, so you don’t have to walk alone.”

We’re proud to be raising money for Samaritans, who are there 24/7 to listen and support people when they need someone most.

That’s why we’ve chosen to support Samaritans.

Samaritans Ireland is there for people when they need someone to talk to. Their trained volunteers provide emotional support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, listening without judgement to anyone who is struggling, feeling lonely, distressed or finding it difficult to cope. Their freephone helpline, 116 123, is available day or night.

Samaritans has been supporting people in Ireland since 1961, and their work is built around the power of human connection — making sure that when someone is going through a difficult time, they have someone there to listen.

So this October, Cooper, Riley, Abbie and I have decided to challenge ourselves to do this for a good cause.

Every kilometer we walk and every donation we receive will help support the incredible work Samaritans does.

100km. 4 feet. 8 paws. One important message.

Walking together, so you don’t have to walk alone. ❤️

If you’d like to support our challenge, every donation — big or small — will help us reach our goal and support Samaritans in being there for someone when they need a listening ear.
