The 24-Hour Challenge

Support my 24-Hour Challenge for Samaritans!

I'm taking part in The 24-Hour Challenge to support Samaritans, a charity close to my heart that offers a lifeline to people in crisis, 24/7.

This cause matters deeply to me – and I’d be so grateful if you could be part of it.

All funds raised here will support Samaritans' lifesaving work in Ireland & Northern Ireland, and their mission of fewer lives lost to suicide.

I hope you can help me by donating whatever you can. All donations are processed securely.

Thank you for supporting me and supporting Samaritans.

Almost there

Saturday 25th Jul

The end is in sight!

Saturday 25th Jul
Only two and a half hours to go in my knitting challenge. When I set out I thought I would do well to knit one baby cardigan in 4ply yarn in 24 hours but after 12 hours of knitting I had achieved that! So I challenged myself even more and to do another baby cardigan! Currently I need to knit one sleeve and then sew the garment together. Will I make it? I think I will be very tight for time but whatever the outcome I am stunned by the massive support I have got and am at nearly four times my fundraising goal.

Two and a half hours in!

Thursday 23rd Jul

Three days to go!

Monday 20th Jul
Only three more days to start of my 24 hour challenge for the Samaritans! I will be starting on Wednesday evening at Waterville Craft Guild with the aim to finish by Friday. Obviously not knitting continuously for 24 hours but hope to have a 4ply baby cardigan completed within the accumulated 24 hours.

Thanks to all who have sponsored me so far. Only another €60 to go to reach my target of €250.

My 24 hour challenge!

Tuesday 7th Jul
I am aiming to knit a four ply baby cardigan as in the photo over 24 hours. While I won’t be knitting for 24 hours continuously as will need to sleep and eat I will keep track of the hours and aim to knit the cardigan between the 23 and 25th July.

Thank you to my Sponsors
