Turning My Passion for Art into Hope – Fundraising for Samaritans
Hi everyone,
My name is Abigail, I’m 19 years old, and I’m raising money for Samaritans.
I’ve been battling with my mental health for a long time, and it’s something I still face every day. I know how overwhelming and lonely life can feel, and that’s one of the reasons this fundraiser means so much to me.
Art has always been my safe place. It’s helped me express emotions that I couldn’t always put into words, and it’s become one of my biggest passions. I wanted to use something I love to make a difference for others who may be struggling too.
Samaritans provide a listening ear and support to people going through some of the hardest moments of their lives. No one should have to face those moments alone, and I want to do my part to help make sure that support is always there for those who need it.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Samaritans continue their incredible work. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this page would mean the world to me.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read and supporting. Together, we can help bring hope and make a difference to people who need it most. All donations go straight to Samaritans:)

Update 12/7/2026
Sunday 12th JulI thought I'd share a little bit more about myself and why raising money for Samaritans means so much to me.
Mental health has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. A few years ago, I struggled with an eating disorder, and honestly, it nearly took everything from me. It affected my health, my happiness, my relationships, and the person I was becoming.
I'm incredibly grateful to say that I no longer have an eating disorder, but mental health isn't something that just disappears overnight. I still fight my battles every single day. Some days are easier than others, and some days are really hard. But I've learned that asking for help, talking about it, and finding healthy ways to cope can make all the difference.
That's one of the reasons I'm so passionate about supporting Samaritans. Sometimes all someone needs is a listening ear, someone to remind them that they're not alone and that their story isn't over.
On a happier note, I also wanted to give you all a little update on my fundraiser project! All of my craft supplies have arrived, and my idea has finally come together in my head. I haven't started making it just yet, but tomorrow is the day! I'm planning to film the process and share some videos along the way, so keep an eye out because I'm really excited to bring this idea to life.
This fundraiser is about so much more than raising money. It's about hope, creativity, and showing people that even after some of your darkest moments, beautiful things can still grow.
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated, shared my page, or simply taken the time to read my posts. Your support means more than I could ever put into words. 💚
