I'm taking on a 24-hour challenge to support Samaritans' lifesaving work in Ireland & Northern Ireland, and their mission of fewer lives lost to suicide.

All funds raised here will support Samaritans' branches across the island of Ireland to help them be there for everyone who needs them, 24/7.

I've decided to kick off the bank holiday weekend by commencing the Samaritans Stream!

I'll do my best to stream the whole 24 hours over on twitch.

24 hour gaming postponed

Hi all,

Many thanks to everyone for the amazing help so far! I was glad to see we broke our goal so quickly. Thank you everyone for their kind donations.

Unfortunately the 24 hour gaming day will be postponed - I had to come to work today but I'll update with a new chosen date very soon.

Again thank you all for your help and time!

According to Samaritans and the Central Statistics Office, there were 436 deaths by suicide in 2023 in Ireland.  

Samaritans are a volunteer organization who provide 24/7 emotional support for those who are lonely, struggling to cope, or feeling suicidal.

They are a service who I have directed countless people to. People would be amazed by the difference a simple conversation can make. In times of need, having access to someone who can listen to your, and support you, can truly make a world of difference. 

I would like to thank the Samaritans for all the support they provide for those who need it, and would be glad to take this opportunity to raise awareness about their work. 

I will be doing a 24 hour gaming session on the 26th of July. This has been organized by the Samaritans, in hopes of raising awareness and donations for their amazing work. I will likely split my time between various games on the computer, playstation, and hopefully some over the board games, all of which I will stream. 

I will kick start with a 100 euro donation of my own. Any additional donations would be greatly appreciated.
