The 24-Hour Challenge

Support my 24-Hour Challenge for Samaritans!

I'm taking part in The 24-Hour Challenge to support Samaritans, a charity close to my heart that offers a lifeline to people in crisis, 24/7.

This cause matters deeply to me – and I’d be so grateful if you could be part of it.

All funds raised here will support Samaritans' lifesaving work in Ireland & Northern Ireland, and their mission of fewer lives lost to suicide.

I hope you can help me by donating whatever you can. All donations are processed securely.

Thank you for supporting me and supporting Samaritans.

That's a wrap!

Friday 25th Jul
That's a wrap on the 24 hour Craftathon. Before I head to bed, I just want to say how grateful and appreciative I am of all the support!

We raise €500 which is insane to me. I am so proud and so glad that we can support such a vital and critical work as supporting people at their darkest times. Thank you so much for being a part of this crazy fundraiser ♥️

And with that, I'm off to bed. I made some beaded thank you tokens so please reach out if interested.

Beading to the finish line - less than 30 minutes to go

2 hours to go!

Thursday 24th Jul
We are nearly there folks! The last 22 hours has been intense but so enjoyable. I was trying to make a skirt out of some purple and red fabric from my stash but the maths is still not mathing so it will have to return it to stash.
One day I'll figure out what to do with this fabric but with 2 hours left, that won't be tonight

€400 plus donated

Thursday 24th Jul
I can't thank everyone enough on reaching this goal of over €400. That is a crazy amount! Thank you so much and I appreciate everyone being part of this fundraiser 🙏

Sewing up a storm

Wow nearly 2 thirds of the way through, and still going. Thank you everyone for following along and all the generous donations! After a bit more work on this skirt and I'll start working on little thank you tokens. If you are interested, please reach out, especially if you donated anonymously

Over 10 hours in, 14 to go

Thursday 24th Jul
Hello everyone, we are sitting at 10 and half hours and still going strong. Sewing machine is out, fabric in piles, time to sew up a storm.
What will I be making.....no idea. Time to thread the machine and get sewing.

Out comes the sewing machine

Over €200 raised already

Wednesday 23rd Jul
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
I am so grateful to everyone who has donated! We surpassed €200! That is amazing 🤩!
I have doubled the goal to €400 to keep the good times going. Samaritans do amazing work and are there all around the clock. So when crisis hits at 2 in the morning, there is someone there for those who need it. I am so grateful and honored to be helping to raise much needed funds for this very important work. This is thanks to everyone who has donated, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you!

Tomorrow, here we come!

Wednesday 23rd Jul
This time tomorrow, I'll be head down crafting away! I'm really looking forward to it and have a list of crafts to work through.
This evening I'm going to plan out timing and how I'm going to keep you all in the loop so watch this space!

Planning has begun!

Sunday 20th Jul
As a crafter, 24 hours of dedicated crafting sounds like a dream. Planning out what types of crafts and what projects I want to tackle has been exciting.
I want to have a range of different types of crafts and projects. I have always wanted to try bobbin lace making and loom weaving so look out for those. I have all the materials and just have been lacking the time and confidence to give them a go.
One thing I want to do is craft little gifts for anyone who donated as a thank you. I'm working on the details so if you are able to donate and would be interested in a small thank you gift, please let me know!

24 Hours Craft-a-thon, here we go!

Thursday 17th Jul
Work book off, creative juices flowing, who's ready for 24 hours of crafting!
One week to go with a bunch of ideas and excitement, I'm going to be documenting here.
For every hour, I'm planning on post an update to show what creative things I have made. I'm also going to include to good, the ugly and the weird so no just showing the highlight reels.
Deep into planning at this stage with tons of ideas so watch this space!
